Don’t know how much you need?
We sell our mulch by the cubic yard. One cubic yard will cover a 10' x 10' area (100 sq. ft) at a recommended depth of 3 inches. To calculate exactly how much you will need follow these steps:
> Measure the area of each of your planting beds in square feet:
> Multiply the Length times Width of each bed to get the Area (L x W = A)
> For circular beds, measure the Diameter (maximum width) and then calculate the Radius (R = D x 2) and Area (A = 3.14 x R2).
> Add up the total area in feet.
> Convert to yards by dividing the total area in square feet by 100.
TIP: We recommend that you remove old excess mulch before applying new mulch.
